We woke up bright and early, knowing that we had a long day of driving a head of us. We were attempting to drive 827 miles. We passed into Canada a few hours into the drive. We made some pit stops in Cache Creek, Williams Lake, and Prince George. Before we knew it we had been driving for 18 hours. When we finally got to Dawson Creek around 1am the first few places we stopped had no rooms available. Apparently we arrived simultaneously with the North American Logging Championship (no joke). Finally we found a hotel and, vowing to never drive that long nor to put off booking a hotel, we went to bed.
