Real Talk Tuesday: I'm Being A Bad Blogger

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

It was only on my drive to work today that I realized Kayla and I hadn't once discussed a topic for this week.  Usually we'll bounce ideas back and forth a few times before Monday but we've both been pretty busy these days!

I feel like I'm still playing catch up from my trip to DC.  I love being busy but I dislike that other things in my life (blogging especially) get neglected.  I'm sure all bloggers go through phases like this but I miss having my blog time!  By the time I get home and get caught up on my reading I'm ready for bed and can barely put together thoughts let along a half decent blog post.

Completely off topic but I read today that JK Rowling was 25 years old when she came up with the idea for Harry Potter.  This is almost as depressing as not getting my Hogwarts letter at 11.  I never realized she was so young.  Or maybe years ago when I was reading the books I just thought 25 was old.  I still have every hope that I will find my perfect calling in life.  25 IS still young.

Anyway, tomorrow is supposed to be WARM!  There was a hint of it today but the forecast calls for 50s for the next few days and I cannot wait.

Well, thank you for reading my ramblings and thank you to everyone who has linked up this week and in the past!

  2. I didn't know she was 25 either.. that's pretty impressive. I think ages sound young or old depending on your own age -- Now that I'm 22, I think 25 sounds pretty young ! :x

  3. Hi! I just found your blog and I'm so happy I did :)
I'm turning 24 in June and since I changed my study subject completely, I'm really three or four years older than my other student colleagues at University. Still, I am not sure what to do after finishing my bachelors degree. Travel? Study a Masters degree abroad? Go to London?
I'm so torn apart between the things I love and wanna do. There's simply too many!

But if you think 25 is old- think of your life from the outside: we're probably going to be 80 or 90 years old, in retrospect 25 doesn't look so old anymore then ;)

    1. I'm glad you stopped by! Yeah, relative to what age I will be someday I know I'll look back and still consider these my "young" years. There's just so many things I want to cram into such a small amount of time!

  4. Hi Erin, new reader here! Your blog is such a happy burst of sunshine!

Re J K Rowling - what! I can't believe she was only 25! I'm approaching 23 and already I feel impatient to achieve something! I thought I'd have life all figured out by now but apparently, it takes a little more time than that.

Anyway, just wanted to say your blog's lovely! Bookmarking it and coming back to read your archives :D
