Petting Zoos, Public Humiliation, and Puppies

I've apparently fallen into the habit of blogging once a week, and mainly to recap my weekends.  This definitely wasn't intentional, but probably has a lot to do with the fact that I do the same thing almost every day of the week and this routine is by no means interesting enough to share with the world on a regular basis.

Wake up, take the dog for a walk, go for a run, shower, eat breakfast, drive to work, work, drive home from work, sit outside watching the dogs play, watch and episode of tv or two while eating dinner, shower depending on how gross I got from the dogs crawling all over me, read, sleep, repeat.

It's by no means exciting, but I actually do enjoy this routine for the most part.  And I'm sure you are all thanking me for not filling your blog rolls with the repetition of this day after day.

Annnyway.  This past weekend was wonderful... as they all seem to be these days.

There was a little fair going on at the farm down the street from my parents, so my mother and I decided to take my niece.  There was a petting zoo set up (which I think I enjoyed more than her) and a little train that did half a dozen loops that she loved.  The real highlight of the day was when someone tried to rob the farm and escape through the vent system, only to get stuck dangling 30 feet off the ground while a hundred people watched.  There is no better punishment than public humiliation.

Sunday was spent relaxing, reading, and walking and playing with the dog.  I may have even spent a little time working on my tan (shocking, I know).

I know it's nothing crazy, but I would be happy is all of my weekends could be like this.

8 days until I head down to Texas!!
